Children who regularly eat meals with their families exhibit fewer behavioral problems. Teens who eat with their families tend to be healthier, happier, less inclined toward risky behavior, and more likely to get better grades. They are less likely to think about suicide, take drugs, or suffer from depression. For this reason Set the Table , a conceptual, non-profit organization dedicated to getting families around the table was created. Aimed at low-income families of two or more people, Set the Table seeks to enrich the overall experience of family dinner-time by providing assistance with family meal planning, access to information, recipes, resources, table topics for conversation, and general tips and advice on cultivating an enhanced mealtime experience.
This collaborative branding / entrepreneurial exercise began with research, then logo and identity development, followed by the creation of four different touch points including a website, brochure, deck of table topics, and meal kit.
